Principal’s Message

JAGDISH CHANDRA PANDEY

I am honored and feel very privileged to be the Principal of Government Polytechnic . Government Polytechnic Chaunaliya Almora has an outstanding reputation for establishing high expectations and achieving excellent academic results. Talents too are constantly developed through sports and varied co-curricular activities. While academic excellence is our major thrust, the College is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. We constantly endeavour to always live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the students grow to their full potential, while constantly being groomed to pass out as men and women competent to bear responsibility in all walks of life. I believe that having quality, inspirational and passionate teachers is essential to a school’s success. To borrow John Hattie’s words; “teachers should build classroom climates where errors are welcome, student engagement is the norm, questioning is high and students gain reputations as effective learners.”
